Basic Wills

Everyone should have a Will...

A Will is a document that is completed during the life of a person to ensure that their wishes are carried out once they have passed away. For most people, once they die all of their assets will pass to their partner or spouse. Should the partner have already passed away then the most likely scenario in this case is that the children if any will inherit.

Most people believe that if they pass away without a Will that all of their estate Will automatically pass to their partner or spouse without having the need to formalise that in a will. In reality, only the first £270,000 of your estate passes to your spouse or partner and the remainder is divided between your spouse and any children you have on a 50-50 basis.

Creating a will is quick and easy and normally only requires one appointment, once the wills drafted it will need to be signed and witnessed to be legally valid and we can assist with this as well if necessary.
